The Private Offering represents the largest private tranche in the history of initial public offerings on the EGX, amounting to approximately EGP 34.55 billion (c. USD 625 million).

The book-building process for the Private Offering has concluded, generating record investor demand, with aggregate orders of approximately EGP 205.8 billion (c. USD 3.72 billion), the highest level of demand recorded for a private tranche1 in EGX IPO history, implying an oversubscription level of approximately 6.0 times.

The Private Offering attracted substantial interest from a broad base of international, regional and local investors, alongside the participation of the previously disclosed key institutional investors; the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (“EBRD”) and the International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), Helikon, Sustainable Capital, RWC and Waha Investments (together, the “Key Institutional Investors”), reflecting solid investor confidence in the Bank’s investment proposition.

Excluding the Key Institutional Investors, the remaining portion of the Private Offering was oversubscribed approximately 19.8 times, demonstrating the depth of investor demand beyond the participation of the Key Institutional Investors.

At the Offer Price, the Offering size amounts to approximately EGP 36.37 billion (c. USD 658 million), implying a market capitalization for the Bank of approximately EGP 80.83 billion (c. USD 1.46 billion).

Execution for the Offering is expected on 29 October 2026, while settlement and commencement of trading on the EGX under the ticker “BQDC” are expected to take place on 2 November 2026, subject to the completion of the relevant regulatory approvals.

Commenting on the Offering, the Bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hussein Abaza, said: “We are delighted with the exceptional response to Banque du Caire’s offering from international, regional and Egyptian investors, culminating in record demand and pricing at the top end of the announced range for the private tranche.
