Rawya Mansour Highlights Women’s Economic Participation and Sustainable Agriculture at Narrative Summit 2026
Egyptian businesses have an important role to play in shaping the country’s international image, particularly when their work reflects its people, values, and potential.
Speaking at the 10th edition of Narrative Summit, held in Somabay from October 13–15, Rawya Mansour, Founder and Chairwoman of RAMSCO Egypt for Building & Construction of Eco-villages, highlighted how women’s economic participation and sustainable agricultural practices can contribute to Egypt’s development and strengthen its global appeal.
Mansour emphasized the connection between inclusive economic growth and opportunities for women, particularly in rural communities. Women account for approximately 90% of RAMSCO’s workforce, with the company applying equal pay for equal work and providing formal employment opportunities. These practices demonstrate how Egyptian businesses can support women’s participation in the economy while contributing to local development and creating more inclusive opportunities.
She also highlighted the importance of responsible agricultural practices in balancing economic activity with environmental considerations. RAMSCO’s agricultural model combines organic vegetable production with water-efficient cultivation and biochar technology, illustrating how businesses can create livelihoods while using natural resources more responsibly. Together, these efforts demonstrate how local enterprises can contribute to sustainable development while offering tangible examples of Egyptian innovation and potential.
Mansour shared these perspectives during Branding Nations: The Global Appeal, a panel exploring how authentic storytelling, distinctive national assets, and inclusive development can strengthen a country’s international standing. The discussion brought together leaders from tourism, business, and culture to examine how national narratives can better reflect the experiences, initiatives, and communities that define a country.
Held under the theme Beyond Reset, the 10th edition of Narrative Summit continued its focus on the stories shaping Egypt’s image and future, bringing Egyptian and international voices together to explore the country’s opportunities, challenges, and evolving identity.
